At the Geneva auto-show in March 2011, Honda was ready to present an updated model of the Accord with the bodies of two types: sedan and five-passenger compact coupe. Both these models are designed, according to experts,to make up for his fellow Civic, which didn’t make the needed effect in the past year at the Auto Show in Detroit. Honda Accord 2011 model year, has changed not only in appearance and interior, but also upgraded the quality of technical component.
The appearance of the two bodies became more aggressive in the front part of the car due to the strong grille. The rear part of it, on the contrary, shows a return to the 90s. Thus, it appears that the design was made by several independent designers. Lights certainly deserve the most attention. They are equipped with adaptive function of the light. The meaning of this function lies in the fact that the lights are able to react to the rotations, the changes in light, weather conditions. They change their intensity of luminescence, depending on the situation. Moreover when approaching oncoming car headlamp will be automatically switched off.
The new Honda Accord is more now colour rich. There are now shades of silver, blue and black: Alabaster Silver, Graphite Lustre and Celestial Blue Pearl. Highlighting the deepening of the ground floor for the feet is available in two versions: blue for classical models, and red for sport models. This upgrade has all-in-all has improved the appearance of the car, and turned it into a modern and sophisticated vehicle.
The interior has changed quite a little bit. Seats and doors upholstery has been updated. Improved insulation lets your relax inside the salon. The rear windows are slightly thicker, which also contributes to the comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Type S Sport models are equipped with half-leather seats to emphasize the style.
Under the hood of a new Honda Accord a 2.0 liter engine with 156 horsepower for the sedan and a 2.4-liter engine with 200 horsepower for the wagon can be found. Engines consume fuel as efficiently as possible and throw out the minimum amount of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, claiming to be necessary in the modern world of economy and environmental friendliness. Thus, carbon dioxide emissions of model Honda Accord Sedan is now up to 138 grams per kilometer and emissions of Honda Accord Tourer – 143 grams per kilometer. Honda Accord 2011 can also boast of a new system of ADAS (Advanced Driving Assist Systems), which controls the distance between the cars and prevents travel into the oncoming lane.
As for the sport model Honda Accord Tourer Type S, it is equipped with a diesel four-cylinder 2.2-liter and a power of 178 horsepower. Transmission is five-speed automatic. 18-inch alloy wheels, lights with red lights and big bumper emphasize the sporty model.
Luxury car – the dream of any of the most demanding car addict. And it seems that Honda decided to prove it by example.
